|| My Senior Year Thesis Design Challenge ||create a collection representative of my eye for design through fabric repurposing and upcycling

|| Look #1, Multi-Denim Tux ||- pieces and scraps are darned and sewn together to form the fabric of this look

|| Look #2, Dead Stock Knit Hoodie and Garage Pants ||- rib knit hoodie. fabric from Fabcycle; they specialize in selling textile waste and dead stock fabric. based in Vancouver
- pants made from a (washed) painter’s tarp i found in the garage. mom wasn’t using it anymore so i figured i would

|| Look #3, Jedi Jacket ||- subconsciously made a jacket that looks like something from one of my favorite series
- used the giant bolt of upholstery fabric that was sitting in the basement (for who knows how long) to make something warm. mum wasn’t using this one either

|| Womenswear Collab ||- overalls by myself, jacket by my friend, Josselyn Vasquez

|| Menswear ||- hoodie, jeans, and button-up tee

|| Conceptual Couture ||- really wanted to make a dress inspired by black holes. i do love space

Class: Sustainable Fashion

|| Zero Waste Challenge ||- jeans + vest made from an entire rectangle of fabric, no scraps

|| Eileen Fisher Challenge ||- the brand sent our class garments that wouldn’t have been sold otherwise to choose from, and we had to create from there.
- after a moment of pondering what to do, this is what i came up with using these 3 i selected:

- here you can see where each garment went. the salmon toned sweater was used as thread for the embroidered flowers
- lots of hand stitching and frogging knit fabric
- looks like the fence of a nicely overgrown yard

|| Keep Me Warm !!! ||- was really cold, still am
- wanted to make myself a long coat since the one i own stops at my waist
- must take more pics wearing
